Ingredients :
Dough :
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
½ tsp salt
1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
½ cup whole milk, warmed
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg, room temperature
Filling :
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
Glaze :
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions :
1. Make the Dough :
In a small bowl, combine yeast and warm milk. Let sit for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Add egg, melted butter, and yeast mixture. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
Cover the bowl and let dough rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
2. Prepare the Filling :
In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.
3. Assemble the Rolls :
Roll the dough into a 12x16-inch rectangle. Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 even pieces.
Place the rolls in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
4. Bake the Rolls :
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the cinnamon rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
5. Make the Glaze :
In a bowl, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.
